Vipers

I’ve never heard the term “viper” used to describe a snake in the swamps from which I arose. We have many poisonous snakes, of course, but I’ve never heard the term “viper” among my people. It sounds like a very Old World term to me, though Wikipedia assures me there are plenty in the New.

They seem pretty nasty, so it was a challenge for me to find images to match the post. Not that I’m trying to do that specifically, but I would like the entries to cohere, if somewhat imperfectly for now. It doesn’t preclude modifying the selections in the future, but let’s be real. That’s (probably) not going to happen.

So it was a relief to find these at the last minute tonight. I’m pretty burnt, having spent the day extrapolating into the future to determine how to manage the menu structure of this site – it’s bound to get big – and then designing my solution and executing it technically on the back end. It’s an awkward solution, given that it’s not automated and I’ve got to code every entry by hand, but I like the slide-over solution enough to do it. Almost finished with it, I’ll work on it tomorrow again.

I’m rambling. The entire eponymous and premiere Lamb album is great, as is the Sarah McLachlan. Check out her Remix album.
