moon zero
Anyone who rides a bike will laugh at this photo, especially anyone who rides a bike in Rome. I think it’s universal, but I don’t recall seeing them in the USA? If you’re as clueless as I am, they mean, “Don’t Enter”, “Wrong Way”, indicating that traveler is “contromano”, against traffic. It’s funny because in Rome, cyclists don’t pay attention to any traffic laws, which makes cycling fun, but somewhat risky.
What’s more important, though, is the moon. It’s finally the Super Blue Moon, y’all, the bookend to the beginning of this chapter, when the moon is, once again, at its perigee. The next time this will happen is in nine years, August of 2032. Think about that. Where will we be then?
I picked a few selections for this post, but they were too obscure: Jimi Hendrix : 1983… (A Merman I Should Turn to Be) Apple / Spotify; or almost-but-not-quite-right, REM : Man on the Moon, so I just said, “Pop It” and went with two selections I thought you would enjoy, maybe. It’s all about you this month, and while it’s been a challenge, it’s also forced me to be a bit pop and fun and happy, which is a stretch for me. Next month is all for me, and boy, you’re gonna get it! Ha.
I watched the moon rise tonight and it wasn’t blue, it was rusty red, soft and misty because it’s been raining. I liked it a lot. It’s not quite, quite full, so it was a bit lopsided, just a smidge, and it made me smile. By the time y’all see it in the USA, it will be full-on full, somewhere around 19:35 EST. The link above will tell you.
Super Happy Super Blue Mooning. Go out and have fun tonight.
PS: Both of these albums are classics, but I think you’ll like the Air especially.
