This is the disco version of “Angel Eyes” by Roxy Music, from their Best of. . . collection. I chose it because it’s easier and more pop, and I thought it would please you more than my other, frightening, choices. I love that syncopated synth, the horn, and the banging strings of the guitar. So classically 1979 disco, but with a twist, always a twist with Roxy Music.

I saw Wings of Desire in the theatre when it was released in 1987. I was still psychologically raw, so it spoke to me in a beautiful, intellectual poetry that I could understand immediately, translating the deep thoughts of humans through angels, transcendent and fallen. I don’t have to say I recommend it, because it won’t matter, you’ll never watch it, but I will and I do.

The photo is a Rutger Hauer look-alike shot down in the war, the never-ending f-ing war, the never-ending f-ing war, the never-ending f-ing war and walking amongst us playing tunes, it seems, to his friends. Beautiful, as they all are. I hope he’s enjoying his time here.

I’m slipping between states and losing consciousness. Gotta fly. Good night.
