When my friend and I visit new cities, we have no plan, or at best a sketch of things we might want to see. Instead, the first thing we do is get a bike and go explore. The most we’ll do is say: “We haven’t see this neighbourhood yet”, or “Maybe those gardens would be interesting”, but the rest of the day is spent on random turns and stops and conversations. So it was particularly pleasing when he sent me this New York Times article called “The Art of Being a Flâneur“. Though, technically, we’re not walking but biking, the spirit is the same. Perhaps we can try to apply this in a broader sense, as we stroll through our quotidian lives. La Filosofia del Flâneur. That’s got a nice ring to it.

Both of the musical selections were the result of Apple Music recommendations. I’ve only seen part of the video and heard the song once. Love them both. May the good curation continue. That will be the word of the day tomorrow.
